We're off to explore one of the island's most remarkable gems, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure: Villa Romana del Casale.Nestled in a picturesque setting, this exceptional site is full of surprises. Its majestic ruins and impressive mosaics bear witness to the wealth of Roman art.The mosaics, with their vibrant colours and elaborate designs, attract visitors from all over the world every year, captivated by the timeless beauty of this heritage. It's a place where history comes alive, and we're thrilled to uncover all its secrets.
It's truly magical to find such serenity in this famous place at this time of year! I relished every moment, enchanted by the magic that radiated from it. The sun shone brightly, the warmth was gentle and enveloping, and I let myself be carried away by this dreamy atmosphere. The vibrant colours of the mosaics were reflected in the golden light, while the surrounding silence enveloped the place in an unrivalled sense of peace. Before leaving this enchanting spot, you've just got to visit the souvenir shops! Located near the car park, these shops are like a small village that slowly wakes up as the day goes by. By 10.30am, the atmosphere is serene, but the bustle is gradually spreading to the craftsmen preparing their stalls and the visitors strolling by, amazed by the local treasures. The bright colours of the souvenirs, from handicrafts to delicious local specialities, add a touch of life to this charming corner. It's the perfect time to take home a unique souvenir and soak up a little more of the region's vibrant culture.
After this absolutely magnificent visit, we headed for Caltagirone, a town renowned for its absolutely fascinating discoveries.

We're off to our B&B in Agrigento, and what an extraordinary road trip we're about to embark on! When we arrive, we'll take a break to recharge our batteries and enjoy the surroundings. It's the perfect time to savour a delicious local coffee or a sweet treat while admiring the beautiful surrounding scenery.
After this short stop, we're raring to set off again on our adventure and discover the wonders that Agrigento has to offer, in particular the Valley of the Temples, an emblematic site of Greek history that we'll be visiting tomorrow! But first, we couldn't resist a night-time visit to catch a glimpse of the spectacular spectacle. I can't wait to see it all at daybreak!
A leisurely stroll and a photo shoot by the sea, as night falls and the moon is reflected on the water – what could be better? The atmosphere is simply magical, with the reflection of the stars in the water and the gentle sound of the waves in the background. It's the perfect moment to capture some unforgettable memories before heading off to the restaurant.
The setting is nothing short of perfect for savouring every moment, and the colours of dusk add a special touch to our evening. It's the perfect way to round off the day in style before enjoying an exquisite meal!
For our evening meal, we started with an absolutely delicious fennel and orange salad, which brought a burst of freshness to our table. Next came a delicious caponata that was simply to die for! Next, we enjoyed a dish of pasta filled with gamberi, a pure delight, topped with a creamy sauce that perfectly enhanced the flavours. And to top off this incredible culinary journey, we were treated to a deconstructed cannoli, with its smooth cream and shards of pasta, enhanced by a candied cherry. It was an absolute delight for the senses, an unforgettable culinary experience!
After a scrumptious meal, we headed back to the B&B, eager for a restful night's sleep. We were so excited for the next day, when we would be exploring the Valley of the Temples. We were super excited to discover this historic site and soak up the beauty of these ancient ruins. We're off for another day of exhilarating adventures!
