Welcome to day 16 of our trip to Japan! Although our return to France is fast approaching, I can't help dreaming about my next trip to Japan. But I'm not going to get too carried away! After a delicious breakfast, we set off for the Asakusa district. We decided to set off on foot from our hotel, taking advantage of the fine weather for a pleasant stroll, and about thirty minutes later we finally arrived at our destination...
Come and check out the Harry Potter district of Asakusa! It's a must-see place that will immediately immerse you in the world of wizards. Whether you're a fan of the books or the films, the atmosphere here is simply spellbinding. Don't miss out on this unique experience that will take you on an unforgettable journey into the world of magic!
We went back through the shopping centre and, wouldn't you know it, there was a piano playing by itself when we got there! The haunting melody floating in the air added a magical touch to our experience. It was a great way to end the day, which had already been full of discoveries. If you arrive at the station, you'll be greeted by Harry Potter theme music!
When we were inside the shopping centre, we were really pleased to see that there were loads of Harry Potter references! There was a shop window full of souvenirs that caught our eye. There were all kinds of fascinating objects, figurines and accessories. We couldn't wait to find the shop where all these treasures were on display! We were really excited about it and couldn't wait to see what we could find!
When I got inside, I was blown away by the huge range of products they had. There were dresses and ties in the colours of the Hogwarts houses, as well as a bunch of accessories, and each item seemed more captivating than the last. The stationery, with its enchanted notebooks and pens, and even the delicious boxes of chocolates, really made me smile. There was so much choice that I felt like a real witch on a quest for magical treasures!
I won't lie to you, I didn't leave the shop empty-handed: I picked up a few things, like the Gryffindor tie, which will add a touch of magic to my wardrobe. I've also picked up a Tom Riddle notebook, which is perfect for jotting down my thoughts and ideas, and I've fallen in love with the Japanese edition of Book One with the Hufflepuff Crest - every item will remind me of my time in this magical shop!

It's finally time to go to the Harry Potter Café that I booked online! If you're planning to go, I highly recommend booking in advance, as space inside is limited and seats fill up quickly. I can't wait to discover the magical atmosphere of this place and enjoy some delicious specialities inspired by the world of Harry Potter!
Here's the booking link:
Here's the café menu, simple but effective, available in English and Japanese. Ordering is by tablet, so even the most indecisive can take their time. Trust me, it is really hard to choose as the options are so tempting! Haha!
For the (non-alcoholic) drinks we opted for the 'Expecto Patronum' and the 'Wingardium Leviosa'.

Le "Expeto Patronum" est beau visuellement maisune petite déception en ce qui concerne le goût, qui s'est avéré beaucoup trop amer à mon goût. Malgré son allure envoûtante, je m'attendais à une saveur plus équilibrée.

As for the 'Wingardium Leviosa', it was excellent - apple-based, not too sweet and with a perfect balance of flavours. The presentation was also very neat, with attractive colours that added to the experience. There was also a small carafe next to it so I could refill my glass, which was a real bonus.

Let's get down to business: the main course. Naturally, I opted for the Hufflepuff house special, which included bacon toast with caramelised onions and a cinnamon-spiced pumpkin velouté. The food was delicious and the velouté was warm and comforting, perfect for the café atmosphere. I have to admit, though, that it might not be enough for big eaters.
The prices are also a little higher than other cafes, which is something to bear in mind when visiting. While the experience and quality of the food partially justifies the cost, it's good to know that you're investing a little more for this immersion in the Harry Potter universe. However, for fans and those who enjoy a good culinary experience, it may well be worth it!

And to round off this Harry Potter experience, I thought I needed a delicious dessert. So I went for the 'Hedwig Cake', which could be compared to a deconstructed tiramisu. It was a delight, balanced and not too sweet. The biscuits were crispy and the cream was smooth and delicious, it really was the perfect end to this enchanting meal. It's the perfect dessert to end this culinary adventure into the magical world of Harry Potter!
Once we were out and about, we started looking for a second-hand kimono in the Ueno district. After browsing through several shops, I was lucky enough to find a kimono that I liked, and I was so happy! I'll post some pictures on the blog tomorrow because I really want to wear it on my last day in Japan!
Then we went to Shinjuku station to buy the last few accessories to complete my outfit. After that we decided to go back to the hotel to drop off our things and then head out again. It was quite a day, full of surprises, and I can't wait to show off my kimono!
I also took the opportunity to take a photo with a robot at the station:

It speaks several languages, so you can ask it questions in French, English, Spanish or any other language you like. He'll give you great answers, and what's more, he can pose for you to take a photo. It's a really fun, modern way to discover the area!
For dinner we went to Kanda Tamagoken in Nishi Shinjuku to eat Omurice. It's a small restaurant with only a few seats, and you order from a kiosk just before you go in!
I had an omurice with shrimp tempura on top. It was a real treat, a pure delight that rounded off our day in style. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the taste of the food were the little extras that made our Japanese experience even more brilliant!

After a good meal, we headed back to the station for a leisurely walk to the hotel. This beautiful day, rich in experiences, deserves a good night's sleep to be ready to enjoy our last day tomorrow. But first, I'm going to do myself a favour and admire the night view from the hotel rooftop. I'll send you a few photos, and see you tomorrow!
