If you decide to travel to Japan, you may be tempted to take the JRPASS. However, depending on your destination, it may not be very cost-effective. The JR PASS is only usable with the JR company. Subways and some train lines are not included.

If you plan to stay in Tokyo (and its region), the JR PASS will therefore not be profitable.
